All festivals are aimed at providing the juniors with match experience but above all are meant to be fun, enjoyable and open to all players. There will be U8 mixed 4-a-side, U10 mixed 6-a-side, U12 – 7-a-side and U14 7-a-side teams and we would like to enter as many teams as we can. We would love ALL our Juniors to play in as many festivals as they can, although it is not a requirement. The age limit is applicable to the start of the school year and we are expecting all the festivals to be in the morning.

If you have not already, please email to say your child is available on Sunday 31st October 2021. The email address is juniors.elycityhockeyclub@yahoo.com and please remember to let us know their age as of 1st September 2021 so that we can put them in the right team. If you could also set their availability on Pitchero that would be ideal.

Note the venue is now NEWMARKET HC ( Newmarket. Leisure Centre, Exning Rd. CB8 0EA).
Timings are...
U8s and U10s - Meet at pitch 9:30. Matches 10:00 - 11:30
U12s - Meet at pitch 11:00. Matches 11:30 - 13:00
U14 - Meet at pitch 12:30. Matches 13:00 - 14:00

Kit wise we have Ely City Hockey Club junior t-shirts, hoodies and jackets available to order from https://www.sigmaembroidery.co.uk/clubs-groups-shop?filter_catid=51 . We will though be providing bibs if your child does not have a club t-shirt.

There will be at least one of the coaches at each festival but with the number of teams we would really appreciate some help from parents to be ‘team managers’ on the day. Please can you let us know if you are happy to help.

Any older junior or parent who would like to gain some experience umpiring, please also let us know!
