Horrendous Weather but 4 goals!
The first match of 2015 saw Ely Ladies 2's play Bourne Deeping in a re-arranged fixture.
The weather was horrendous and Ely chose to stay in the hut up until push back. This seemed to perhaps have been a good team plan as Ely went on to win 4-0 as Bourne Deeping, who had chosen to warm up in the rain for a good 45 minutes, began to falter as the match progressed.
Ely's work rate didn't slow and as the defence kept some good structure and were always ready for any attacks Bourne attempted the midfield played hard and ensuring the ball was kept in Bournes half for the majority of the match, leading to 4 goals from Rhianne, Nat and Helen (2) and a good strong win and 3 points for Ely.
Players of the match were Helen, Rhianne, Nat and Kea.
Muppett was Fi and Aimee
