Ladies 2nds v Cambs South 3rds

Today was Aimee's last match or the Ladies 2's and what better way to end your season but with a win and a goal!

Ely ladies played well and at half time were 1 - 0 up. Just into the 2nd half Felicity Renny fell awkwardly on her ankle and had to come off leaving Ely to play the rest of the match with 10 players.

Ely conceded a goal shortly after going down to 10 players but were able to fight back which made for a tense game but managed to pull a goal back thanks to Aimee Cooper giving them the lead again.

The rest of the match was played on tender hooks with Cambs South almost catching Ely on the break but thanks to some good saves by keeper, Newson Ely were able to hold on and bring home the win and the 2 points.
