An even game to begin with, Ely had an early scare as St Neots were awarded a short corner and looked as though they might take the lead as the ball found its way into the Ely goal. However, due the ball being raised the goal was disallowed and Ely were off the hook.

As the first half continued St Neots put the pressure on Ely, however with a solid back line they were unable to break though and capitalise. Ely worked the ball up into St Neots half but were unable to make the final touches count with the first half ending 0-0.

The second half was mush the same as the first. Both teams working hard and hoping for the other to make an error so that they could take advantage and take the lead. St Neots made the Ely defence work hard but Ely were also able to counter and give St Neots a tough time.

As the final minutes of the game ran down, St Neots had one final attack and thanks to a great save from goalkeeper Kat Bamber, Ely remained well and truly in the game. The final whistle being blown as Ely countered attacked, making the final score 0-0.

Ely Ladies 2s remain unbeaten this season and are sitting 5th in the league.
