Given that last weeks “Halloween” performance was not worthy of reporting it was obviously considered that things could not get any worse……….step forward what should have been a fiercely contested derby but deteriorated to what can only be the equivalent being invited to a firework display to discover the sparkler you have been given is the main event!
So where do we go from here, the first five minutes were good, we did not concede and there on it went downhill, I will have to admit that as goal keeper I did not have the best of days which apparently is the reason I am writing this now! (One of the privileges of the award apparently).
Back to the game, March in fairness were good they had a game plan and executed it well, we could not cope with this and by half time were 0-4 down. Just to keep things balanced we conceded another 4 in the second half reach the grand total of 8.
Apparently it is always important to take some positives out of a situation like this as well as focusing on the lows so I thought I would categorise them accordingly.
Highs
• Sam got Man of the Match – about the only thing we got right all afternoon.
• Chris done the teas and I must say did not scrimp on the bread allocation!
• It stopped raining before the start- so we only got pissed on once.
• Some one hit the post, but whom, not a clue as I was at the other end.
Lows
• Result speaks for itself!
• We have to play Peterborough 4’s next week!
• Someone has to come up with an excuse that has to be better than “Halloween or Guy Fawkes”.
• West Brom was cheated out of a win by cheating Chelsea b-----ds and a bent Ref.
• I will probably be top candidate for this column next week due to the strop I threw at getting “DOD” (You will all be walking home if I do!)
Thanks to Grangie for the report
